MISCELLANEOUS
Attention all student athletes: Sport physicals will be offered to all 2012-2013 student athletes this Friday, June 8th, here at Logan from 3:20 to 4:30. Physicals are required for all students who want to participate in any sport next year. The cost is $20. Please contact Coach Visintainer for additional information.

Don’t forget! Adult School will be having Driver’s Ed classes June 18, 19 & 20, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost is $125. Applications are available in your house office, or see Mr. Caruso in Room 77.

Job Alert! The 2012 summer work permit applications are available to download at the James Logan High School website. The work permit is good June 20th through September 20th. Be sure to read part I for instructions and bring a signed copy of your Social Security Card to the main office receptionist for processing.

REMINDER: We can no longer accept checks for the remainder of the school year. All payments must be cash or money orders ONLY.

Are you getting a D or an F this semester? Do you need to make up a class from last semester? Then you need to sign up for summer school! There is still space, but it is filling up fast. Pick up an application in any house office and return it to your counselor….do it soon! Tentative schedules will be mailed in the first week of June. Summer school starts on June 25th and ends on August 2nd. Classes run Monday through Thursday only! See the Logan website for more details. (click on the Summer School link on the homepage)

Union City Police Department is hosting National Night Out on Tuesday, August 7th from 5 to 9 p.m. Contact Officer Seto or the SRO if you are interested in community service hours. (510) 675-5263.

Volunteers are needed for the Filipino Independence Festival on June 10th. For details, see Mr. Angeles in House 3.

CLUBS
Do you like science, and want to see if students at other high schools are as good as we are at science? James Logan High School is planning on having a Science Bowl team next year, and we’re looking for some good people from all grade levels to participate. There will be meetings after school on Wednesday, June 5 and Thursday, June 6, in Room 226. Otherwise, contact Mr. Ting in Room 226 for more information.
