MISCELLANEOUS
Congratulations to the Varsity and J.V. Wrestling Teams for defeating Newark to win the MVAL title. Varsity won 46-22, and J.V. won 44-14. Great effort by everyone on the team. Thank you to the student body, teachers and coaches for coming out and supporting our team.

Emanuele Elementary needs tutors to help with 5th grade Math and English on Wednesday afternoons. If you are interested, check out the community service posting on Logan’s website under the College/Career Center link, or pick up a pink flier in the Career Center.

Each year, the Asian Pacific Fund offers $27,000 in prizes for their “Growing up Asian in America” contest. To submit your art, essays or poems, pick up the guidelines from Mrs. B in Room 507.

The 22nd Annual Sabor Latino Dance will be held on Saturday, February 18th, sponsored by the Ballet Folklorico. Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door. For more information, see Mr. Huertas in House 1. Tickets will be sold Friday, 2/17 at both lunches in Colt Court.

Need Driver’s Ed? Your place is the Adult School! Cost is $125. There will be two offerings, each Monday thru Wednesday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., April 2, 3 & 4 or June 18, 19 & 20. Applications are now available in your house office, or see Mr. Caruso in Room 77 for both an application and details.

ACTIVITIES
Practice for the SAT and ACT in one test! Take the Kaplan SAT/ACT combo test on Saturday, February 25th. Buy tickets for $15 in House 3 during lunch and after school.

JUNIORS
Juniors, don’t forget to remind your parents that College Night is Thursday, February 16th. This is the night they get to find out all about what they need to do to heop you through your Senior year, and apply for college.

SENIORS
Attn. Seniors: Be sure to turn in your community service hours (CSH). 20 Hours of CSH is a Logan graduation requirement, and must be completed in order to participate in the graduation ceremonies. For questions, go to the Career Center or see your counselor.

The New Haven Schools Foundation scholarships have arrived, and hard copy applications are available in the Career Center to all qualifying Logan seniors.

Financial aid packets for seniors are now available in the Career Center. Feel free to pick yours up before school, after school, or at lunch.

CLUBS
Key Club is selling handmade Valentine cards, boxes of chocolates and musical plush bears in Colt Court during both lunches today, so go check them out!

Today is the last day to show your Valentine you care! Buy a flower today at lunch from the Garden Club. Delivery is tomorrow!

Marketing and Management Academy will be selling fresh Love Pops for Valentine’s Day. The Love Pops are cake pops made with Love for the ones you love, so please stop by Colt Court and place your orders today!
