Need Driver’s Education? Your place is the Adult School. Cost is $125. Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday, December 20, 21 & 22, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Applications are now available in your house office, or see Mr. Caruso in Room 77 for both an application and details.
Don’t forget to donate to the winter canned food drive to your 2nd period December 6-15. Donations are never too much for the homeless. The top three classes that turn in the most canned food will receive a continental breakfast during the week of finals.
December 1st was World AIDS Day! Pick up a red ribbon at the Health Center and wear it throughout the month to show your support.
ACTIVITIES
Congratulations to the Varsity Wrestling team for taking 2nd place at the Freedom Dual Tournament this past weekend. Logan beat Liberty in the semi-finals before falling in the finals to host Freedom High School. Good job Colts!
Black Student Union will be having a Kwanzaa celebration December 16th from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. There will be food, performances, and culture. Come out and support!!!
Punjabi Club is offering free tutoring classes in math and science during Christmas break. Classes are open to each and every Logan student who would like to attend. For details contact Mr. Rana in Room 442 during 4th and 5th lunch break.
The first ever Zumba Night will be on Tuesday, December 14th at 7 p.m. in the Al Roderigues Gym. Come learn Latin-style rhythms in a fun, one-hour workout. Tickets are $5 at the door. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Puente Program.
The Masquerade Ball is tonight, December 10th. Tickets and guest passes are available in the old attendance office. Tickets are $10 general price, $8 w/ASB. No tickets will be sold at the door.
There will be a boys volleyball information meeting on Wednesday, December 15th from 3:30-4:30 in the Staff Lounge. All boys interested in playing on the JLHS boys volleyball team should attend this meeting. See you there!
