Drop-In homework/tutoring in Room 77 daily before school 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., Tuesday-Friday 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturdays 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Need Drivers Education? Your place is the Adult School. Cost is $125. Two summer offerings, each Mon. – Wed., 7 a.m. – 5 p.m., June 21, 22, 23 or August 2, 3, 4. Applications are now available in your house office or see Mr. Caruso in Room 77 for both an application and details.
Students, if you requested Cyber High on your summer school application, please see your counselor to make sure you have completed a separate Cyber High application in addition to the regular summer school application. To learn more about Cyber High visit the Logan website and click on “summer school.”
Class officer elections are in 2 weeks! If you are interested in running for class office and leading your graduating class in planning spirit events, activities and fund raising, pick up a candidate’s packet in Room 67. Packets must be completed and turned in at a mandatory candidate’s meeting next Wednesday, May 19, after school.
Calling all Cheerleaders: There will be a team meeting in the Dance Studio today right after school. Coach Jimenez wants to see you there at 3:30!
ACTIVITIES
The Ballet Folklorico will be celebrating its 20th anniversary on May 15th at the new Center for the Performing Arts. Live Mariachi music & special guest professional dance troupe. For tickets see Mr. Huertas in the counseling office.
Choir Auditions for next school year are May 17-20. May 17 is for Jazz Choir and Advanced Choir. May 19 and 20 are for Show Choir (you must attend both days). Be prepared to dance for Show Choir. See McShane in the Choir Room if you have any questions.
The ROP Multimedia Fest is this Friday at Mission Valley ROP next to Kennedy High. Along with free movies there will be live music and the ROP will be open for touring. The fun starts at 6 p.m.
Our annual Unity Fair is today! The weather is great and the food smells good, so come out to the Big Green during lunch for food and performances from our diverse clubs. Food items range from $1 to $5 and tickets will be sold at the fair. See you there!
Because of the Unity Fair, Senior Ball and Picnic tickets will not be sold today.
What’s a fair without caramel apples? Come to the Unity Fair today at lunch and buy a caramel apple from the Youth Alive Booth.
SENIORS
Seniors, the last day to pay for any items by check will be Monday, May 17. Afterwards, you must pay by cash or money order.
Senior Picnic is on Tuesday, June 15. Spend a day at the Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk with your friends. Tickets are now on sale for $20 each at the 300s courtyard near Room 67 during lunch. Lunch, an unlimited rides wristband and charter bus transportation, a $60 value for $20, are included. It’s always a fun trip!
Senior Ball is on Saturday, May 29 at the historical Hayes Mansion in San Jose. Still haven’t purchased your ticket? Buy one now for $100 per person at the 300s courtyard near Room 67 during lunch.

The Sustainability Club reminds everyone that it is RIDE YOUR BIKE TO SCHOOL AND WORK WEEK! Show your helmet to participating teachers for extra credit!
