MISCELLANEOUS
LOV Newark needs 67 volunteers to help at their annual Elegant Affair on Friday, February 12th. For more information, check your Logan e-mail or pick up a blue flyer in the Career Center.

Come support the Boys Soccer Team Wednesday night in the 1st round of Shaughnessy Playoffs. We play Mission San Jose at 7:30. All games will be played here at Logan, with the championship game on Friday night.

Credit Recovery is here! If you need to make up credits, we have two after-school credit recovery classes starting this week. The two classes are Drawing with Mr. Kolesnikov, and Creative Writing with Mr. Seaton. The classes run 3:45 – 5:15 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and are worth 5 credits each. If you’re interested, pick up an application from the counseling office or your house office.

Drop-In homework/tutoring in Room 77. Daily before school 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., Tuesday-Friday 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturdays 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Need Drivers Education? Your place is the Adult School! Cost is $125. April 5, 6 & 7, M – W, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Applications are now available in your house office or see Mr. Caruso in Room 77 for both an application and details. Hurry, classes fill up fast!

Students, please turn in 1st semester textbooks that you no longer need by Friday, February 12th. Anything not returned by that date will be billed.

ACTIVITIES
The Olympian Track & Field Clinic is Saturday. Come see the Olympians. World Recorder Kevin Young will be in attendance.

Logan, we’re bringing back the Sadie Hawkins Dance on February 26 from 7 to 10 p.m. Pick up guest passes in Room 67. Tickets will be sold starting next week on Tuesday in Room 67. Presale tickets ONLY. No tickets will be sold at the door. Do not miss out!

The 20th Annual Sabor Latino Dance is Saturday, February 20th, from 7 to 11 p.m., sponsored by the Ballet Folklorico. Advance tickets are $7.00, at the door $10. See Dancers for the tickets, or Mr. Huertas in the Counseling Office.

Come watch the Wrestling Team dual Newark Memorial for the MVAL title this Wednesday in the Al Roderigues Gym. J.V. starts at 5:00 pm and Varsity at 7:00 pm.

FRESHMEN
Freshmen: Interested in acting or dancing for skit? Please come to Room 67 after school on Tuesday or Thursday for auditions.

SENIORS
Seniors, want to participate in Senior activities? Then don’t get on Exclusion for a debt, suspension, 15 tardies or 8 period cuts. You also need 20 hours of Community Service by April 30th.

CLUBS
Leo Club meets after school on Thursday, February 11th. Be there to sign up for community service opportunities! New members welcome!
