The James Logan Lady Colts battled their league rivals the Washington Huskies in the NCS girls volleyball championship. They played tough but it wasn’t enough. Washington was victorious by a score of 3 games to 2.

The first game was dominated by Washington and things didn'€™t look good for the Lady Colts.

The second game looked like it was going to be more of the same, but Logan rallied and tied the game at 24. Then, sophomore Danielle Loramo came up with two blocks and a kill in the final three points to win the game for Logan.

In game three, Logan shot out of the gates and took a 13-2 lead before Washington rallied. The Lady Colts overcame the rally and won the game 25-15. In game four, Washington came out angry and dominated 25-14.

In the final and deciding game, Washington proved too much and was victorious 15-10.

It was the last game of the season for Logan, but they didn'€™t go down without a fight. Senior Lisa Nguyen played very well and had a team high 26 digs. Shelysse Patolo dominated with her jump serve that produced five aces and threw Washington'€™s defense into panic mode. She also had a team high 13 kills. Loramo showed that she has a very bright future and was unstoppable whenever she was set. She will be a key element for the team next year.
