Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation’s just released a new 3D cartoon movie, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. It was inspired by Ron and Judi Barrett’s children’s book, Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs.
It’s about a nerdy inventor, Flint Lockwood (voice of Bill Hader) who attempts to solve the world hunger problem by sending his latest invention into the sky. Sam Sparks, a very brainy weather girl (voice of Anna Faris) notice this invention of his stops the rain and turns it into food. The town Flint lives was pleased because lately all they were eating was canned sardines, and now everything they asked to eat was falling from the sky.
The mayor of the city Mayor Shelborne (voice of Bruce Campbell) takes advantage of Flint’s invention and over produces food, which caused an ampleness of food. Flint and Sam now are trying to stop this over load of food from falling from the sky. Can Flint and Sam save the world from all this food falling? You’ll just have to see the movie and find out.
This movie is ranking number one in the box offices and has earned just over $30.1 million the time of this writing. This is a very fun filled movie for the entire family. It’s filled with great animations and the 3D effects are amazing. Normally in most 3D movies some minor parts of the movie are 2D but not in this movie. When the food was falling out of the sky, it was like the food was going to fall on top of you.
This movie is a food fight for the entire family. It’s clever and funny and can capture the entire audiences attention. Your eyes will stay glued onto the screen.
