The two Varsity soccer teams are both on the same page this year when it comes to being unsuccessful.

Both the Logan Girls and Boys teams failed to kick off the new season with a bang, or any confidence of that matter.

The girls' first game was an unexpected to loss of 2-1 during their first league game against Irvington.

Senior Jessica Panuco said, "We need to work better as a team I think. We are all talented soccer players, we all know what we're doing, that's not the problem. It just seems we're going into the season with too high of hopes and that's what is distracting us."

However, the Seniors of the girls team want to change everyone's attitude and persepective toward their season and are currently collaborating to improve their flaws in order to have a considerably sucessful season.

The boys team is having the same problem with the whole team work idea as it turns out.

"We don't know how to communicate at all on the field," said Senior Captain Sergio Ramirez." We also haven't had a real, good practice this whole time. The first game was a wake up call for all of us. We didn't understand what each player had to offer skill wise for the team. But now that we're actually talking amongst each other, it seems that we can turn the season around."

Ramirez doesn't doubt his team can pull it together and actually win some games this year. He claims that his team will be well-equipped to overcome the future challenges the might face this season as long as they get over this awkward stage of not communicating to each other on the field.
