It's all just a popularity contest.

I'm going to make a sign saying "why?" next year. That'll be real fun.

i agree this is such a popularity contest. i mean im not doubting the abilities of the candidates, but i think that it would be more effective to maybe do something more for the election process such as interviews or essays or community service. I also think that academics and attendance should play a large role in the election, who wants officers who cant even handle school alone?

i believe they should write an essay and give a speech, thats not dumb. then we'll know whose best!

Glad to see you todaay! & Cammywammy, hahaha.

Anyway, I do agree that it is really a popularity contest. It is sad that some people really do care about the school, and sometimes, they just end up losing since they're not "popular" enough. I totally agree with all the commenters though. Who exactly are the students voting for? No one knows exactly, unless they're friends with them.

It's a popularity contest + whoever designs the best looking posters. Over the years, I've heard people saying that they voted for whoever because their poster looks the best. Unless their job is making posters, it shouldn't even matter who has the best looking one.

Since Mr. Rojas seem to have very good intentions of fixing the school spirit and ASB class, I hope he'll take these comments into consideration as well.

I agree, most of the time the winners only win because they know more people which does suck for those who can't make the big fancy posters or get to know as many people as the other candidates. But I wish good luck to everyone (especially Tiffany Hoang and Cody Harper).

Oh, and I'm pretty sure that Angela's last name is Luo, not Lao :)

Psh....what good do these people do for the school? The people these elections really benefit are the winners themselves, because THEY are the one who gets something to look good on their resume and for THEIR future. And all they really did is win a popularity contest. How unfair.

I agree with everyone else. It's all a popularity contest. Hell, I have no clue who any of those candidates are except Cody and Angela.

Please come out to Colt Court on Tuesday during lunch for a Come Meet the Candidates event. Candidates will be introduced, and they will speak about their plans and what they hope to achieve if they are elected.

I hope this is an improvement from previous years...

By the way, there are attendance and grade requirements for the applicants.

I've learned a lot from my first year as Activities Director... there will be improvements next year.
