
The Lady Colts celebrated the seniors'
last home game of the regular season.

The James Logan Lady Colts played their last home game of the regular season in the Guy Emanuele Pavilion Wednesday night. It was Senior Night, when the seniors in the basketball program are honored before the game begins.
The six seniors on the varsity team received special gifts , such as balloons and flowers, from their friends and families. When the girls were recognized in center court, their goals and plans were announced along with some of their favorite memories of playing basketball for Logan.
After the ceremony, the ladies faced the Newark Memorial Lady Cougars. While in most Lady Colt games the starters are a mix of grades, this time the starting five were all seniors. The first quarter was played to a draw, ending with the score tied at 17. The Lady Colts played good defense and kept the game close going into half time only down by three, with the score of 33-36.
The Lady Colts fell behind in the third quarter and were down by eight with 2:13 left, but in rallied to narrow the gap to four points, ending the quarter with the score of 42-46.
The fourth quarter had everybody on their feet with the scoring going back and forth. The Logan ladies stayed with the Cougars , pulling to within two points at 55-57 with 48 seconds left to play.
Logan tried to tie or win the game with the little time that was left, but were not able to come out with it. Instead, came out with the win, 60-55.
The Junior Varsity girls fared better against the Cougars, hammering Newark in earlier in the evening in their last home game of the season in the Pavilion.
The JV ladies had great defense and offense taking the lead at half time, 23-11. In the third quarter, the Cougars managed to score only three more points, while the added 14 to their total in the third quarter alone, making the score 37-13 at the end of the third.
Although the Lady Colt offense was good, they had their defense really shined, locking down the Lady Cougars,only allowing them to score 19 points the whole game.
The JV girls won their last home game, with the score of 45-19.
